Tentang Bebras Indonesia
Bebras Indonesia is part of an international movement aimed at
introducing and promoting computational thinking among students,
from elementary to middle school levels. The Bebras Challenge is
an annual competition where participants face a series of
challenges or problems that test their computational thinking
abilities.
This Bebras initiative began in Lithuania in 2004, founded by Valentina
DagienÄ—, and has since grown into a global movement embraced by many
countries, including Indonesia. In Indonesia, the Bebras activities
are managed by a team from the University of Indonesia (UI), in collaboration
with various educational institutions.
The goal of the Bebras competition is to motivate students to become
interested in computer science and to develop systematic logical
thinking, without requiring in-depth technical knowledge of programming.
The problems presented in the Bebras Challenge typically involve
logical reasoning, data analysis, and challenging yet engaging patterns
of thought that are enjoyable for students.
By participating in the Bebras competition, students are expected
to enhance their critical thinking, problem-solving, and logical
reasoning skills, which are crucial in today"s digital age.
